While it is not considered waterproof with the leading ingredient being water, it does not run with routine moisture (as an aside, a waterproofing designation may mean unwanted ingredients are coating your lashes, your lashes will be drier, the mascara will be harder to remove and may cause more fall out).  The mascara contains no beeswax, petroleum or silicone and uses a synthetic-free preservative (phenoxyethanol-free and thimerosal-free) that, if you are a contact lens wearer, you can recognize in terms of comfort*.  On another sensitivity note, if you are sensitive to the smell of your mascara you will realize there is none.  A well-designed rubber brush head allows for a generous but even application that goes on smooth without clumping.  There’s even two different bristle lengths for use on different length lashes.  The handle is short enough for easy maneuvering but long enough for leverage and precision application.  With just a few coats, the effect is balanced, providing both emphasis and naturalness for daily wear.
