ABOUT DORY KUROWSKI, FOUNDER, My Conscience, My Choice LLC

Dory Kurowski was an investor relations and communications director for various pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in her past life. During that time, she was also, and continues to be, a long-standing member of many conscience-driven organizations, mostly focused on animal advocacy and land preservation.

In 2010, after the birth of her son and death of her Bernese Mountain Dog, who was her beloved animal companion (two closely timed events), she made a much more aggressive move to live a more sustainable lifestyle, researching and buying legitimate cruelty-free, eco-friendly products and not eating meat. One step further, she also wanted to green her surroundings by recycling, upcycling and de-toxing her environment, as well as ensuring the products that she used were not just sparing the earth but animals as well by not containing animal-derived ingredients.

Dory became a trusted resource to others for recommending specific high-performing, cruelty-free, eco-friendly and clean-ingredient products. Her friends and family noticed and started consulting with Dory about her recommendations before making choices and buying products. She started keeping a formal database of all the eco-friendly and cruelty-free products she had come across that performed as well as the major brands, many of which were also locally-based and so served to support entrepreneurs in the immediate community.

Dory realized she could translate her research and experience in a very tangible way to help the average person shift to a more mindful lifestyle, and at the same time promote pioneering sustainable products, and My Conscience, My Choice and the CHOICE app were born.
