I am thrilled to be a holistic health coach working with clients to help them find more balance by reducing stress, improving energy and stepping them towards their individual health goals.
I have so much passion for this because I WAS this person. I have been working in Corporate America for the last 13 years. As I continued to move up the ladder, I noticed that work was consuming me and stress level continued to rise. I knew my health was deteriorating but I kept ignoring it thinking to myself that…”when I move on to the next stage of my life, I will be healthier” or “I will start tomorrow” or “I am eating healthy because I had the burrito with the chicken and beans vs. the pizza”.
One day I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror as I was getting out of the shower. I looked more closely. I had gained so much weight that I DIDN’T EVEN RECOGNIZE MYSELF. That was a terrible feeling. Not only physically, but also mentally. I used to be FULL of confidence and radiating energy. Now I was depressed and you could see in my body language that I didn’t want to be looking in the mirror much less having anyone else look at me.
So instead of taking control of the real issue, I blamed the state of Texas for all my problems and moved back to New York City. Weird thing was, I was not instantly skinny and confident once I crossed the Hudson River. In fact almost a year went by and all the walking that I was doing in New York, did not shed the lbs like I thought it would when I was in Texas.
My breaking point was when my stress manifested itself as physical pain. I’m TOO YOUNG for chronic back pain. I was working around the clock but now I was determined to prioritize my health. It was at this point that I decided to seek help and eventually was certified as a holistic health coach in 2010. Through this program, I learned how to reduced my own stress, eat healthy…I mean really eat healthy, not eating what I convinced myself was healthy… and found the balance that I desparately needed, all the while losing over 30 lbs. My biggest transformation was my mindset. Once that changed and knew the right things to do, losing the weight was surprisingly very easy. I only wished I knew that years ago.
Given my own experience, I wanted to work with others to support them through their health journeys. To show them that it’s not as hard as it seems. I have been lucky enough to work with clients for over 2 years now. The impact has been astounding. Given these transformational changes, I have decided to dedicate my life to working with clients to support them with living their healthiest and best life.
