Kale & Co is a Bergen county, NJ-based service delivering vegan meals to your door that are free of gluten, soy and refined sugar. Kale + Co was founded by two nutrition counselors whose goal was to design savory snacks and meals free of the most common allergens and irritants. Their food cleanses are available in four-day increments. Once you make the commitment, living a healthy lifestyle becomes a way of life.
Instead of juice fasting, Kale + Co promotes food cleanses which are meant to nourish the body and not send it into starvation mode. Each day on a Kale + Co plan consists of three meals, all of which are plant-based and contain no gluten, no dairy, no meat, no eggs, no sugar, no soy and no caffeine. Ingredients are organic or locally-sourced. In addition, the experienced team at Kale + Co also offers personalized cleanse “support” via e-mail as well as healthy recipe and living tips to help their customers master the transition.
About the Kale + Co Team:
Stacey Faske is a graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and is certified as a holistic health counselor. She also holds a B.A. in marketing. Since 2006, Stacey, has been the owner of Nourishing From Within, a private practice that offers nutritional counseling, lifestyle coaching, cooking classes, and supermarket tours. In addition, Stacey has sold her food at a variety of Farmer’s Markets and has worked as a personal chef helping families bring great food to their kitchen tables.
Stacey loves working one -on -one with individual clients helping them create long- term habits for their optimal health and wellness. By encouraging her clients to try more plant based, seasonal and local foods she has helped educate them on the impact food has on health, weight and energy. Stacey believes the best way to teach people about eating well, is to feed them great food. This is her inspiration for developing Kale + Co.
Tori attended the Institute for Integrative Nutrition where she earned her degree as a holistic health counselor. In 2009, Tori created, Balanced For Living, a private health counseling business where for the past five years she has been dedicated to empowering her clients with the tools they need to live happier, healthier lives.
Tori’s past experiences of growing up in the restaurant business and having family members in the medical field taught her the science of how food combined with a healthy lifestyle can heal you. Her passion for fitness and health led her on a path to figure out a way to create amazing food that made you feel good both inside and out. Her goal and inspiration has been to teach families a balanced approach to living.
As a mother of two young girls, Tori is well aware of the difficulties families face balancing busy lifestyles and planning nutritionally balanced meals. In 2013 she decided she wanted to do more than counsel people; she wanted to get back to the kitchen. Making healthy food more accessible to families is her inspiration for developing Kale + Co.
